Hair Dying
I always wanted to dye my hair and recently I decided that I was realy going to do it.
So I searched which colour would look better on me. i found out that a lot of websites say different things so I'm only going to post the ones that I believe that are true.
First, you have to know that not all colours will look good in your complexion, so you can't just pick one randomly.
I found this on a website that I found interesting (i'll put all the links in the end so that you can read the entire article):
"You take a piece of gold jewelry and a piece of silver jewelry (it can be an earring of each metal type, bracelets, necklaces, etc, so long as the jewelry is made mostly of the appropriate metal) and place the jewelry against the skin. Whichever metal appears brightest (or stands out the most) against your skin is the type you are."
"Take a look in the mirror and observe what type of skin tone you have. If you have olive skin you suit darker hair colours. You should never go lighter than you skin. it appears fake. If you have pink skin avoid shades of red or golden blonde. Stick to ash tones to neutralize your coloring. Paleskin suits pretty much any hair colour. If you have yellow skin avoid yellow, gold or orange tones. Stick to deep reds."
If you're still not sure about what colour you want you should consult a specialist. And if it's you're first time dying you're hair you should go to a saloon instead of doing it youself.
Now, from my experience:
I have very pale skin, dark brown eyes and darkish brown hair. I wanted to dye my hair a dark red brown colour but because my hair is dark you can only see red reflexions in the sunlight. According to my hairdresser it's also because it was my first time dying my hair. If I keep doing it the red will show more and more. Because I didn't want something too permanent I chose a hair dye that will wash out; it will stay in my hair for about a month.
I hope this was helpful, and if you have any questions write in the comments section and I will try to answer.
XOXO
Charlotte James
